New Madison Living Magazine Article
I am excited to have enjoyed a wonderful week of Spring Break. It has been the most relaxing week ever. During my Spring Break, I checked online and an article was published about me and and my accomplishments at my current institution. It has been an absolute pleasure to be featured in this magazine as it is my very first time in it. But I am glad that in this article it showed that women and minorities have a strong role in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
It also featured my books, my research and my family. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to be a part of a magazine that features community participants and their contribution to society. I am even more thankful to my supporters in STEM as being in this field has had its set of challenges but it is all worth it in the end.
The main goal for this article was to open the door for some other person to walk into STEM and be successful at it no matter what. I do hope that this goal is reached over time.
